About Mckenna

Mckenna Blake is a 20 year old pop-country artist and songwriter based in Nashville, TN.  Mckenna specializes in writing introspective lyrics and unconventional melodies, influenced by artists like Sara Bareilles, Avery Anna, and Noah Kahan.  Her music blends elements of country, pop, and folk into honest lyricism that tells a story.

From locally headlining shows in Nashville to playing historic venues like the Bluebird Cafe, Mckenna is building a strong fanbase of dedicated listeners in the pop-country scene.  Mckenna also regularly plays writer's rounds in the Nashville area through Lucky Money Live, Nashville Tour Stop, and the Get Up.

Some of Mckenna's recent accomplishments include releasing her debut EP Backseat, headlining shows across multiple states during 2025, and being featured on the Grammy U Blockbuster Beats playlist.  Mckenna's music has also gained media attention, with her single Wishing Well garnering approval from Alt Recess, an indie music blog.  Previous accolades include being selected as an artist for the 2025 Spring Writer’s Showcase at Belmont University, a competitive round sponsored and judged by BMI.

Mckenna's debut EP, Backseat, is a moody pop-country project that makes heartbreak sound cool.  All about being a third-wheel, the lyrics are both painfully relatable and an ear-worm for listeners.  This EP’s instrumentation blends elements of pop, country, and folk music in this modern story about love, loss, and yearning.  As of January 16th, Backseat is now available on all streaming platforms.  Stay up to date with Mckenna by following her Instagram and Spotify page!
